Stream

bridges cross over 
passing rivers, flowing streams
but sometimes
we stop between, soak in it,
see our own reflections

if we are washed clean
through water, baptized,
set free
then tears are a form of release
and rain is a means of cleansing
stimulating 
growth

think of the calm of floating,
a relaxed state of peace,
the crease and ripple of a puddle
when the wind
decides to breathe

like a seedling 
leaves the safety of the womb, 
then blooms like a new beginning

we are given 
second chances
and newfound treasures
when nurtured by liquid pleasures
when watered devotedly
