Because there was no guardian to see That unified we stood to meet the foe, A faulty benchmark left its work of shame Somewhere between saltwater and the fields. Advancing like an ancient army guard Arrayed in absolutes of legalese, Somehow within the press of decades long A crossover was made without forethought. Completities have seeped into this camp Where once the shining hopes of youth had stood, And Time demands no reservations hold When promises are wrapped in soft decay.
