Poem from MARIE KAZALIA'S Disgusting Similarities. KAZALIA's poetry and prose are widely published in anthologies, such as The Bukowski Hangover Project ISBN: 0-9701950-3-6. Pull The Trigger and the Uno Anthology ISBN: 1-4010-4130-5 (UK) and in numerous on-line e-zines and widely published in print zines, and literary journals nationally and internationally, mostly notably: EPOCH, The Lousiana Review, Haight-Ashbury Literary Journal, 52% (Canada),... and in many others...
MARIE KAZALIA
they're all the same
These men who want. Think they should get
what they want. Just for wanting me,
to kiss me, grab my boobs
facing each other on bar stools. Noise and men
all around. Slip a hand up inside my sweater.
All these men bore me. Some I think are pigs
for their naive insistence on existing
with such lack of connecting to any
universal power or energies--other than
their own inner need to force, push and fill.
