an earthy poem, 'The Color of Clay' is a surprizingly beautiful poem about misuse and abuse of others. The darkness of two souls is mirrored in the darkness of the place where they first meet and the darkness of the room where their relatinship is consummated. But, the last line suggests that some good exists even in the darkest of souls.
