			WEEKS AFTER
an old woman on a train said black outs are no problem for me. I am used to saving electricity and turning off lights. At least, this time we don't have bombs flying over our heads. I am happy to shut off my electricity
a two year old cuddled by his mother dies of the cold. Sipping hot water, a young girl says, "Ah, how sweet." Many, when the Hot Bath trucks come, smile and songs come out: "li yu do na" Good Hot Water
screams, wail of water, linger in torn houses and trees Tokyo emerges, a dream like state "I thought it was a dream." one man says. "I understand now, this is my life"
she said the grief	

consumes you
over and over

waves of sadness
finally letting go

the wail of the tsunami,
a ghost moon

in the about to bud
cherries,

perfumes of decay
and death

one woman gasps,
she thought it was a 

dream. Just to 
tell it like it is

all we can do

IN THE CENTER FOR SURVIVORS

IN THE CENTER FOR SURVIVORS a man, 70, says don't get me wrong, they take care of us but it's as if like we're old fossils in a incubation box. I hate feeling helpless, a burden. I hate being deprived of the chance to work. I know even the Imperial family has shut off electricity in the palace and now live by candle light. When I was a child, I carried water and lived on hard potatoes and so did everyone else. What I mean is we oldies feel left out. I speak for many when I say we
