Or He was a Woman, or Bag of Numbers, or Thinking Prow...
Perhaps he was a dog, snout shoved glove-like into old fish. Or perhaps he was a four-stringer propped up on a tavern stage. The bottom end. A clean, dirty man. Or goat. Or cough-matrix. Or perhaps he was a syntax, brackets around his conventions, parenthetical, a fuckhead bibliographing himself in lovers. Or perhaps he was edible, and the one, eerie carnivore, or wilting over toast, a limp cheese sheet sweating from warmth in a distinguishable sloppiness. Or perhaps he was an old shack, or a lime-sour pig, or a picket-beaked gobbler, or not, and perhaps his days merely fell like louse-tracks through an old scalp's grungy ravines. Perhaps he was appealing; sterile or plumbed or richly decayed, but still lusciously present as a chicken butcher, firework, or some a blanket-sniffing bee from the hot, short grass. He did not know, nor would he ever; when he lived was who he was, and the hum of uncertainty was exhilarating.

She carefully steps out of her pod as she ascends the steps to this new hyper-reality this luminous moment emanating life forever. Carefully unwrapping the mummifying layer upon layer of disguises, letting them drip off and fall, scarf-like languidly petal-like leaf-like, Venus ungarbed ascending her airy stairway. How she expands as she ascends her lungs newly filled with the outside air diaphanous and lovely. Muffled passion pent-up dreams now at ease in a new light.

Yes, there was a rhythm in the air that night. It was the rhythm of your lovely sounds. Your halfway flawless poetry. So, it goes this way…. I waited; not long, but I waited. My girl, you've come at last; and, when I turned my tired vision toward you, my heart was reborn. It began to abuse my chest, as if it were trying to hurt me. As the night darkened, you lighted. I remember the childish feeling simply called bliss. I heard your passion in that great hole that night. But, now, I have you near me in the flesh! Close enough to taste, and too far from love. My sweet girl, you're as beautiful as a great unsolved murder! I could have easily mistaken you for the ocean or the sky that night. I could have called out to you as if you were a god. You talked and shared a story, your long brown hair falls over your mysterious eyes. But, I would not say a word, for I was frozen to the bone. Let's say that I would have called you "love" that night, but you would think me silly. No, no, my Chan, I'm not silly. I'm simply a woman loving another woman.
