i come from nowhere being far from never floating in a mazeless void toward a nameless ever and if you come across me there wave an invisible hand and watch my disappearing form in this silent airless land and make certain you remember if you mindlessly recall who and what and where i came from and how i took my fall through infinite skies of empty past petty vacant stares a journey with no purpose a journey to nowhere

SAM VAKNIN
The Old Gods Wander
Your promised lands with reticence. Grey, forced benevolence. They shrug their crumpled robes, extend in veinous hand black cornucopia. You're fighting back, it's evident, bony protrusions, a thumping chest, the clamming up of sweaty pearls. They aim at your Olympian head. There, in the meadows of your mind, grazing on dewy hurt, they defecate a premonition of impending doom.

SHANNON L. PUGH
Devil's Grin
The words that conjured perception Were cursed and damned Like holy rain And blissful floods. In the hundredth hour of our lord The savior and antichrist- The coming of a belief made to destroy Not instill. A plagued on the world- directions to fold over on itself To disbelieve the sight of honor And consume the stellar mass of reality Deleted a world made for pleasure Then replaced it with misery to untrue to refute. Where is freedom Lost in choice And mutterings in the darkness of eternal night To hide the blasphemy of an orgy world Laced in seduction and the promise of pleasure. We burn and bare our devil's grin
