LISA M CRONKHITE
How a Young Woman Makes Love to God
She arouses Him in the middle of night, caressing her body as He cradles her thoughts. Hold me, let me know You'ôre there, her shallow breath whispers. He carries her into a dream of sand, laying her near midnight tides. It is here she rests beneath Him'"under a swelling sky of blue'" layers of ocean rhythmically rise over, rocking her softly adrift in waves. She spreads herself ope'"aloft a blanket of sea, letting the current take her away, and feels the rush of Him inside. Lisa M. Cronkhite has published work in Bible Advocate, Clark Street Review, The Penwood Review, The Shepherd, and Fighting Chance Magazine. She is currently taking a writer's course in Connecticut. Lisa currently resides here in the U.S. with her husband and 2 children. She suffers from Bipolar disorder and writes as a coping skill in the hopes for better understanding.
