L. WARD ABEL
At Dragonfly

Here at Dragonfly I make mention. Nobody’s watching from towers around the wide clearing bounces sounds bespeaking gardens way off the thing the grid. It looks like this whether I’m here or not. Suns betray the treeline merge slowly doze to view an evening blue white to yellow red and night. Then green again. Who is the angel with fire behind? Her chemtrail scrolls west. No wind close by my town of storms belies this shelter from the virus that is theirs.

L. WARD ABEL
The Revelator

L. WARD ABEL Booked a room on Patmos. It was the dry season there. Dreams on the walls, mine, like gold leaf shone and I moved on from my coma since. They built a cathedral south facing slopes a final ridge before a fall line relic of visions that St. John with his wine couldn’shake or lose the shine of what he’d seen. Tonight an old woman down in Thomaston interprets plot lines out beside U.S. 19, open like the neon says, while you wait for a pork sandwich notwithstanding she knows you’ve waited to come out of exile and O this could all be for nothing.
