MAYA WEINBERG
The Soul

The soul is like a dog suddenly asks to get out in need of something that’s missing at home. Urge pulses in the chest turns her over on her back stronger than she is scratching the door to go somewhere else. Domesticated for over than thousand years (or so it seems) but remembers exactly how once she was a wolf. once in a while she must growl, bite be hunted to wander the streets, feed from garbage be chased, do no more than survive until she’ll get ill, miserable again she’ll fawn upon a stranger for a pet forgot how good she had it the bitch she’ll be coming back on all fours, she already knows.

MAYA WEINBERG
Tawny Owl

I am a tawny owl and I have nothing so lose tonight when I’m hungry. The Head is round, the eyes are black the calls are sharp, clear and poignant. I have no mercy and no need for it and won’t give anything in return. The night darkens and lingers, the forest is opened and widened, and no one is as lonely as the one who sees everything accurately without being seen.
