Fou à manger quelle victime (toast cannibale)
[Crazy to eat such a victim (cannibal toast)]
Tu me dévores cru,
je te prends à la lettre
et me rends bleu cuit.
Crazy to eat such a victim (cannibal toast)
There was a time when I was eating raw
peas and beans
crudities nudities of the garden.
or fungi or carrots.
You too, I could devour you raw
but I prefer to cook you naked at low heat.
While I do not warm me
You read my wolf eye
and open up yourself at the same time.
In fact, I am a victim
uncooperative nor ambitious but gastronomious
of your mad and absolute love.
You devour me raw,
I take you to the letter
and give me blue cooked.

Marc Tiefenthal is a Belgian poet-performer who writes in Dutch and French; he translates his own poems. No doubt, he is a Dadaist, as Dutch poet Pom Wolf has called him a “Dadaist.”. TIEFENTHAL has published several collections of poetry, in Dutch, and published some French poems in the international Belgian arts magazine Tempus fugit.
According to MARC, "This is an almost erotic poem. No doubt."
